Tamar Ridge Wines, located at Kayena, near Launceston, in North East Tasmania, nestles in the iconic Tamar Valley wine region. They own White Hills, North Slopes, Kayena, Rosevears and West Tamar vineyards. They also own Coombend Vineyard and grow walnuts both on the East Coast of Tasmania.
Sit on the deck, take in the panoramic vineyard views, and enjoy a Tassie cheese or vineyard platter with a glass of your favourite Tamar Ridge wine.
Experience the Tamar Ridge wine tastings and purchase current releases from the Tamar Ridge 'Kayena Vineyard' and Devil's Corner ranges. Plus there is usually the odd 'hidden treasure' - wines that are restricted to cellar door.
The Tamar Ridge cellar door services includes a gift shop of gourmet food and wine related items.
The first vines were planted at their Kayena vineyard in 1994 with the initial vintage in 1998. In the decade since, Tamar Ridge has built a reputation as a leading producer of Tasmania's cool climate wines with sales throughout Australia and a growing list of export markets.
Quality is their primary objective and this is consistently achieved through attention to detail and complete control of the process from grape growing, through winemaking and packaging to marketing of the final product. The result is wines of the highest quality that are certifiably 100% Tasmanian and reflect the natural variations that are engendered by climate, soil, topography and winemaking practices.
