Seppelt Great Western winery is located in the Great Western wine region of the Grampians in Western Victoria. It currently belongs to the Fosters Group.
With over a century and a half of winemaking experience, the House of Seppelt is extremely proud of its heritage and rich tradition. The historic Seppelt winery, located in Great Western is famous for its labyrinth of underground tunnels, called “The Drives”, where sparkling wines have been bottle aged over the years, since 1868.
The winery was fisrt purchased by Benno Seppelt is 1918, from his friend, Hans Irvine. From that time, Benno Seppelt really put Great Western on the map for it's magnificent sparkling wines and exceptional table wines, particularly Shiraz. The cellar door building is beautifully nestled in the historic Seppelt winery, set the backdrop spectacular surrounding vineyards.
