Printhie Wines is located in Orange, Central Ranges, New South Wales Explorer Country. It also offes contract winemaking to other vineyards in the area.
Planted initially to 30 aces the Phalaris Vineyard was the first stage of their expansion to become a viable wine enterprise. Following on from the success they had experienced supplying Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon to Margan Family Wines in the Hunter Valley they decided to increase these plantings by adding 15 acres of each. In 2002 they expanded the vineyard planting 20 acres of Merlot at Phalaris Vineyard, a variety that is proving highly successful for Printhie and Orange as a region.
