Petaluma Penola is located in Penola, in the Coonawarra, on the Limestone Coast of South Australia.

The well-known Coonawarra region produces elegant and long-lived Cabernet and Merlot wines. To create this Coonawarra blend that is now an iconic Australian red wine and one of the benchmarks for the region, Petaluma employs hand pruning and hand picking coupled with minimal irrigation and low yields. The Evan's vineyard is in the heart of the Coonawarra where the regions famous warm friable soils (Terra Rossa) help create the icon wines the region is known for.
