Cumulus Wines is a leading cool climate winemaker, sourcing fruit from its high altitude, single vineyard in Orange, 280 kilometres west of Sydney.
Cumulus Wines is named after the cumulus clouds that are so prevalent in the beautiful wine region of Orange. They crown the vineyard landscape and inspire their dedication to the highest quality and sustainability.
These clouds are also reflected in the names of their wine ranges:
Cumulus...their name-sake super premium range, selected from only the 'highest' quality fruit from the best block in the vineyard each vintage.
Rolling...describing the cotton-like clouds and the rise and fall of the lower reaches of the vineyard that produce the fruit for these delicious wines.
Climbing...an active reference to the higher elevation of the vines which make this elegant range, and our continual quest to climb to greater levels of achievement and reach for the clouds.
Orange's high altitude cool-climate and high intensity UV light gives Cumulus the highest standards of fruit and the winemaking team, headed by Debbie Lauritz, give them the creativity and innovation to lift Orange to new heights
