Located in the center of South Burnett on the Fraser Coast, Clovely Estate is Queensland's largest vineyard.
Established in 1997 Clovely Estate has very similar viticultural and climatic conditions to those found in the the Hunter Valley region in New South Wales. Owned by the Heading family which has farmed in the South Burnett continuously for over 100 years, Clovely Estate has expanded to own or manage 175 hectares of grapes at Moffatdale and distributes wine under its own brands in Australia and overseas. They also sell surplus wine on the bulk market, including to some of Australia's best known producers.
Winemaker Luke Fitzpatrick is one of a growing number of talented young winemakers at the vanguard of Queensland's expanding wine industry. As Chief Winemaker at Clovely Estate, which dominates production in the rapidly emerging South Burnett region, Luke is a passionate believer in the Queensland industry's future and its ability to produce legitimately great wines.
All of Clovely Estate's still wines are produced exclusively from fruit grown and picked on their vineyard, enabling them to quality control the entire wine making process, from harvest right through to final bottling.
As a result they are able to consistently produce clean, fruit driven wines, that not only represent value for money, but which also universally exceed consumer's expectations.
Clovely Estate's finely crafted range of wines extends across the full spectrum of styles and varieties from the crisp, clean Verdelhos and Chardonnays made for everyday drinking, through to more complex, trophy-winning wines which can be cellared for 5 years or more, such as their flagship wine, Double Pruned Shiraz.
