Established in the mid-1990s by the Poulter family, Bluestone Lane Vineyard sits amongst acres of rejuvenated wetlands and bush near Balnarring on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.
The site of the now flourishing vineyard was once rundown cattle grazing land. Thanks to the Poulter's landscaping expertise it is now also home to many species of native wildlife.
Their pinot noir, made using traditional Burgundian techniques, is extremely well priced and a true regional classic.
The wine gets its name from the Poulter family's bluestone business - the family have been reponsible for renovating many of the bluestone lanes that give parts of Melbourne its character.
