The ultimate bible for every foodie, The Oxford Companion to Food, could be sitting on your bookshelf very soon. Every month all subscribers to VisitVineyards.com and Winepros Archive can enter our competition to win great wine, food and travel prizes.

This month two lucky winners will receive a copy of Alan Davidson's The Oxford Companion to Food, each valued at A$110 (plus postage). This is so much more than a simple guide and a few recipes - it's a concoction rich enough to convert the mildly food interested into a worshipper. All foodies should enter now!

Given there's been a bit of snow about and it's also time to start thinking about Father's Day, for second prize we thought a case of Snowy Mountains Brewery's Bullocks Pilsner would be appreciated (RRP A$69.95 plus postage). VisitVineyards.com does not only cover wine, but beer as well - especially from our growing number of microbreweries.

This particular beer is a Bohemian style pilsner still brewed to the German purity law of 1516 which decrees that nothing other than barley, hops and water can be used in the brewing process.

If you miss out on the boutique beer, we are also giving three thirsty winners a copy each of Greg Duncan Powell's Beer - a Gauge for Enthusiasts (RRP A$29.95 plus postage). This is an entertaining survey of the wide range of beers available in Australia from the mainstream to the quirky.

This month we also have a fourth prize - another great book to curl up next to the fire with. VisitVineyards.com staffer and former Telstra Business Woman of the Year Marie-Paule Leroux's personal tale of moving to Tasmania from France, A Frog in the Billabong, has finally been translated into English and we've got three copies to give away in August (RRP A$35 plus postage).  It will keep you next to the fire until you're finished and might also prompt you to ponder some of our more interesting Australian customs, and provides a French insight into the Australian wine and food scene.

With so many great prizes this month, what are you waiting for? Enter now and join the growing VisitVineyards.com community of wine and food lovers. Your prize will be posted to you anywhere in Australia, or for books, the world. We regret that we cannot post wine, beer or food overseas.
