The Red Lantern is an award-winning Vietnamese restaurant in Sydney's Surry Hills. It is owned and operated by brother and sister Luke and Pauline Nguyen and Pauline's partner, Mark Jensen.
With its bright red exterior and dangling lamps, Red Lantern is where the Nguyen's treasured family recipes are brought to life by chefs Luke Nguyen and Mark Jensen. A favourite of local foodies, the food produced is flavoursome and since embarking upon a project to further promote ethical eating, they use local sustainable and organic ingredients.
The Nguyens are authors of two books: Luke Nguyen's Songs of Sapa and Pauline Nguyen's Secrets of the Red Lantern.
