It's not often that we list a supermarket in Visit Vineyards (in fact, to date Ritchies is the only one), but I don't think the Mornington Peninsula locals realise how lucky they are to have these gems of stores in their backyard.
Local produce, gourmet foods, fresh breads (and of course the supermarket staples) and an adjacent bottleshop with a large range of local wines (with knowledgeable staff, too) makes this a great starting point to stock up for your weekend break.

From its humble beginnings in 1873, the Ritchies group of stores has grown into an Australian Independent Retailing icon. The first Ritchies Store opened on what is now Nepean Highway, Frankston, subsequently expanding to the Mornington Peninsula, metropolitan Melbourne, Gippsland and most recently Victoria's Western District.
Will someone please set up of these great shops near me? No more 'guerilla shopping' trips to the supermarket, a pleasure to shop in.
