Australia's newest golf championship, the Moonah Classic will be staged at the Open Course at Moonah Links in February 2010.
The co-sanctioned Australasian PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour tournament will feature a talent of players from Australia and the United States and boasts one of the largest prize pools offered on the Nationwide Tour with a USDAUD600,000 purse.
The Nationwide Tour is the secondary series on the lucrative US PGA circuit and provides a unique opportunity for Australian players to test their skills against international players. This is the only event on Australian soil that conducts this sanctioning with the Nationwide Tour. The Moonah Classic consolidates the strong US Tour relationship and player pathway that has developed between the Tour over the past five years.
Moonah Links is one of Australia's finest links courses and is a fitting location for the 2010 Moonah Classic. As a purpose built 'stadium' course it offers unsurpassed vantage points for spectator viewing.
