The Cellar Door is situated in a tranquil pastoral setting, high in the rugged granite slopes of the Great Dividing Range. The perfect spot to unwind over a glass of Shelmerdine wine and our famous shared tasting plates with local cured meats and regional cheeses. During the cooler months, the granite open fire is a warm welcome to the wintry weather with the Cellar Door and Café running an extensive calendar of events throughout the year.
For three generations the Shelmerdine family has been at the forefront of the modern Victorian wine industry. Our Philosophy is simple: we employ our understanding of site, soil and season the craft wines that express the unique character of our vineyards.
With vineyards in the north and south of the Heathcote region we craft Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon that is synomous with the region as well as aromatic Viognier & Riesling.
Our Yarra Valley range of wines are comprised of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir Rose
